BREAKING: A major cyber attack on Indian government departments has left a large number of tourists unable to leave India and many government workers without pay.
The Department of Foreign Affairs reported that details of visas and passports belonging to foreign nationals were removed from their database, preventing any persons whose details were lost from leaving the country. Those affected will be contacted for assistance.
A further attack on the Department of Transport targeted their payroll system, leaving around 500 workers without their pay.
The hackers have identified themselves as an offshoot group of the Tamil Tigers, current residing in Germany.
Details are scarce, but the Indian government has scheduled a press conference later today.
